ABOUT HANAQ PACHA | CASA DE MILAGROS | SACRED VALLEY TOUR | PLAN YOUR RETREAT | LINKS | HOME

In the native Quechua language, Hanaq Pacha means, "Where heaven meets the earth." We think you'll agree that the sacred space on which the retreat center rests is a blissful unity of heaven meeting the earth. It was built to financially sustain the Casa de Milagros, a nearby home in the Sacred Valley which teaches orphaned children life skills of math, science, language, organic gardening, music, dance and cooking in order to preserve the tradtional Quechua culture. Mama Kia's vision of love influences the economic development of surrounding pueblos, as well as the ecological sustainability of the Sacred Valley. When you plan your next yoga or spiritual ceremony at Hanaq Pacha, you are supporting a community, while experiencing a vibrant culture. The Sacred Valley in Peru is a place of remarkable spiritual energy; the perfect setting for nourishing your soul and rejuvenating your mind.

Organic gardens are carefully tended and maintained throughout the center. Fresh herbs and vegetables are gathered daily for tasty meals and for medicines. The glass-enclosed common room is where you'll enjoy delicious vegetarian meals cooked with love. We cater to special dietery requests (vegan, raw, etc.). At night, cozy up in one of the comfortably furnished teepees. Capable of sleeping up to 4 people, you'll find thick, antique mantas in each one as well as crafts from the Casa's children. Private sleeping arrangements can be made with advance notice.

Bright flowers and shrubs line paths and nooks, allowing opportunities for quiet meditation or bird watching. There are hot showers and common toilet facilities on site. Plan a personal, customized retreat.
